Rotary is the 1st service organization in the world. We have 33,000 clubs in 200 countries. Our Rotary flag is flown in most countries in the world. We give out more scholarships than any other organization. We helped stamp our polio with over ¼ billion man hours to bring the Salk vaccine to over 2 billion children since 1986. We dig wells, we build bridges and we are responsible for helping to start the UN. We are honored with a permanent seat at the UN. The only other organization with this honor is the Red Cross.
